With Chevy falling behind in the American Muscle Car race, they released a newly designed 2020 Camaro LT1. This vehicle is now the base-model Camaro, making it super easy to mod out.
The controversial vehicle makes getting a V8 Chevy Camaro considerably cheaper than in the past. The 2020 Camaro LT1 starts at $34,995. Placing it competitively priced with a Ford Mustang and the Challenger RT. The new price tag actually makes it the cheapest V8 muscle car on the market for 2020.
However, the newly designed vehicle comes with some changes that are drawing criticism. Phastek had the opportunity to check out the newly designed 2020 Camaro LT1 during Camaro Fest, and well we love it! But we also don’t discriminate against Camaros. We love them all.
Maybe the best part of the 2020 LT1 is that it’s gonna make a great sleeper car! Anyone that likes to mod out their own vehicle and shock their opponents, should consider this Camaro.
It comes standard with the same nose as the 2020 V6 & 2.0 Turbo, hence the sleeper look, nose, LT body style, 6.2 liter V8 engine and the SS style vented hood. It packs 455-horsepower, the same as the Camaro 1SS and 2SS, but comes with fewer standard options.
We actually prefer the new front grille of the 2020 Camaro LT1. We love that they kept the vented hood like the Camaro SS. However, this Camaro doesn’t look nearly as aggressive as the Camaro SS. It will still resemble the 2.0 turbo or 3.6 V6 powered Camaro. The 2020 Camaro LT1 features base model 20-inch wheels that aren’t staggered like the SS wheels. But similar to the SS you can get it in either a six-speed manual or 10-speed automatic.
The 2020 Camaro LT1 comes standard with 4-piston Brembo front brakes, 7-inch screen, 20-inch wheels and cloth interior. With the low-budget price tag on this Camaro V8, it makes it a great choice for modding!
There are some options that you can add onto this base Camaro from the dealer, but you can probably look to us for more mods as well. We’re certainly looking at all the mods you can do to this Camaro.
We have to wonder what do you think of the new design? What would your first mod be for this 2020 Camaro LT1?
