Here are some quick pointers and below is a how-to video:

  • Make sure you have Windows 8 or Higher installed on your device.
  • Please do this where you have a good internet connection. We’re not saying it has to be your home, but you want to make sure you have a solid connection for this.

]]> Are you ready to get seen rollin’? As a Camaro owner you probably don’t dance, but your wheels can and should.

The first step to a dancing Camaro is to upgrade those stock wheels and swap them out for some dope wheels.

In an effort not to blur your Camaro’s identity, you looked on Phastek and found the perfect set of new rims to help you stand out from the crowd.

But will they fit? Here’s what you need to know before you order them.

Although most Camaro wheels already have the measurements that are needed for a perfect fitment understanding these measurements allows you to better understand and get the wheels you want.

Meaning of Diameter:

Measuring the diameter of the wheel is measured from the inner lip of the barrel.  Taking this measurement will give us our wheel diameter. Knowing the diameter will allow us to better determine what tire size we need.  

Measuring Diameter:

This measurement is taken on the outside or inside of the wheel by using the inner portion of the wheels lip for our edge.  Taking the measurement from this location will give us the wheel diameter we are looking for.

Meaning of Width:

The wider tire we are able to fit the more power we can get to the ground without spinning the tire.

Measure Width:

To measure the width of your wheels you will want to take the measurement from the inner lip.  If you measure from the outer lips your number will unfortunately be incorrect.

Meaning of Offset:  

Measurement between the centerline of the wheel and the mounting surface of the wheel.

Offset is measured in millimeters in either a zero, positive or negative measurement.  Zero offset is when the hub surface is in the centerline of the wheel. Positive offset is when the hub mounting surface is towards the front side of the wheel.  Negative offset is when the hub mounting surface is towards the back side of the wheel.

Measure Offset:

To measure offset we will want to find the centerline of the wheel and take our measurements from there to determine if we have a zero, positive, or negative measurement.   Doing this will allow us to make sure that we are going to clear any components such as strut towers, sway bars, or control arms.

Meaning of Backspacing:

Backspacing is the distance from the hub mounting surface to the inside of the lip of the wheel.  More backspacing puts the tire in closer to the center of the car.

Measuring Backspacing:

To get this measurement we are going to measure from the back side of the hub to the outer portion of the wheels barrel.
